The book by Erich Kästner has been turned into a theater play. The story is about Emil, a little boy, who is sent to his grandmother in Berlin. His mother gives him money to pass onto his grandmother. When Emil falls asleep on the train, his money gets stolen. Arriving in Berlin, Emil coincidently spots the man who took his money and decides to get it back. With the help of 24 other children who call themselves the detectives, they succeed in getting back the money.
