Paris Saint-Germain, better known as PSG, is a professional football club founded in 1970 by a group of businessmen. The Parc des Princes (Prince's Park) is the team's home stadium, while the Camp des Loges is where the club trains. In 2012, Quatar Sports Investments became the club's owner and at the same time Paris Saint-Germain became the richest football club in France. Offering high salaries to players, PSG recruited some of the best soccer players in the world including David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Javier Pastore, and David Luiz. The traditional color of the team is blue with a red central vertical bar on the jersey, and since 1989 has been sponsored by Nike. The club has also its own anthem, "Allez Paris Saint-Germain", which is sung to "Go West" by The Pet Shop Boys. PSG has won many trophies, such as the League 2 title in 1970, five League 1 titles between 1985 and 2014, and also the League's Cup, the Champions' trophy. Additonally. the club has won the Coup de France a total of nine times. In 1995 the club also won the UEFA Winner's Cup, and in 2001, the UEFA Intertoto's Cup. Each year, the "Classico," between PSG and its rival L'Olympique de Marseille (OM), is a huge event which often results in confrontations between rival fans.
