Originally penned in Russian by Ivan Turgenev, A Month in the Country first premiered in 1872 but didn't receive the attention it deserved until 1909. The play is an intricate love triangle involving several characters and results in almost wrecking a family. Competition and misunderstandings add a lot of humour to this play and have earned it quite some praise and appreciation.
