Tampereen Pallo-Veikot, is a football club that competes in the Kakkonen, which is the third-tier competition in the Finnish association football. It was initially founded in 1930 as a sports club but considering the growing success and popularity of its football squad, it ceased to pursue all the other sports. It hails from the city of Tampere situated in southern Finland and the home games are played at the Tammela Stadion. At the height of its career, TPU became the titleholder of Veikkausliiga, which is Finland’s top-tier football competition. Such a triumph has not been repeated in the club’s career.
