Rovaniemen Palloseura, also known as RoPS, is a Finnish football club that's based in the city of Rovaniemi. Formed in 1950, it first participated in the Veikkausliiga in 1981. While the Finnish Cup may be the only bit of major silverware in its trophy cabinet, it has had numerous close encounters in the top flight and has also reached as far as the quarter finals of a European tournament.
