Based in Turku, Finland, FC Inter Turku is one of the twelve clubs that compete in the Veikkausliiga, which is the top-most league in Finnish Football. The club uses the Veritas Stadion as its home base. It was founded in 1990 but it did not initially have a senior squad. It was formed in 1992 and started playing in the Kolmonen, the fourth-tier football competition of Finland, in the same year. But a new-found burst of form helped the team secure four promotions in five years, thus earning a spot in the Veikkausliiga.
