Takako Minekawa is a Japanese singer/songwriter who blends distinctive French pop influences with vintage, analog electronic sounds to create a unique style of music that's well suited for Japan's forward thinking music culture. Minekawa released her debut album, Chat Chat, in 1995 and managed to maintain a fairly prolific LP release schedule until she took a prolonged break from recording after releasing her 2000 album, Maxi On. In 2013, she reemerged with her critically lauded and and commercially successful album Tropical Circle.
