Club Deportivo Atlético Audaz is a sports club that is popular for its football team. It is based in the city of Machala where it was founded in 1988. The team is also known as “Equipo Palmera” (Palm team) and “Equipo Bananero” (Banana team), which are amongst the many nicknames given to the team by its fans. It competes in the Ecuadorian Segunda Categoría and plays its home games at the Estadio 9 de Mayo.
