Formed in 1919, Club Centro Deportivo Olmedo commonly known as CD Olmedo is a football club that plays in the Ecuadorian Serie A. Fondly known as “Ciclón Andino”, it schedules its home fixtures at the Estadio Olímpico de Riobamba and has a fierce rivalry with Macará with the fixture between the two termed as “Clásico Interandino”. The club has participated in the Copa Libertadores and has a Serie A title to its credit.
