Akademisk Boldklub (AB) is a Danish football club that represents Gladsaxe Kommune in the Danish football league system. One of the oldest football clubs in the country, it was founded in early 1889 following a merger between Fredericia Studenternes Kricketklub and Polyteknisk Boldklub. The club has won the Superliga title, Copenhagen Series for Men and the KBU Pokalturnering multiple times. It also lifted the Danish Cup and Danish Super Cup in 1999. Throughout its history, AB has produced numerous talented players such as Lukas Lerager, Danny Olsen, Stephan Anderson and Martin Albrechtsen, among others
