In early 2003, six Randers-based local clubs joined hands to form Randers FC. It spent its first year playing in the First Division – the second highest football league – before being promoted to the Superliga at the end of the season. It won the Danish Cup in 2006, and the UEFA Fair Play League in 2009 and 2010. The club is based at the Cepheus Park Randers.
