The Chiefs also known as Gallagher Chiefs is a rugby union team from Hamilton, New Zealand that competes in the Super Rugby. It is based at the Waikato Stadium and is one of the five teams that represent New Zealand in this international tournament. Formed in 1996, it has won top honors such as the Super Rugby, New Zealand Conference, Brisbane Global Ten and the BNZ Cup. Mils Muliaina, Aaron Cruden and Sonny Bill Williams are a few renowned players to have featured for the Chiefs.
