HNK Rijeka is a Croatian football club representing the city of Rijeka in the Croatian First Football League. It was established in 1946 as Sportsko Društvo Kvarne. It changed its name to nogometni klub Rijeka in 1954 before adding the Hrvatski to the name. One of the most prolific clubs in the country, it has won multiple Yugoslav Cups and Croatian Cups. It has also produced some of the best talents in the country such as Damir Desnica, Miloš Hrstić, Marijan Jantoljak, Ezio Loik, Mladen Mladenović, Velimir Naumović, Petar Radaković, Daniel Šarić and Josip Skoblar among others.
