Van She

Based in Sydney the electropop band Van She combines electronic industrial beats with pop style vocals and nu-gaze instrumentation. Having forged a fan base within its native country, the band dropped its self-titled EP in 2005, grabbing the attention of other dance rock/electropop acts such as Crystal Castles, who sampled the band's track "Sex City" on its 2008 eponymous album. Though the band was virtually unknown of outside Australia before its 2008 album V, Van She slowly began to appeal to international audiences with each subsequent release including its 2012 album, Idea of Happiness.
