Club Sport Herediano is one of the most powerful teams that compete in Liga FPD, the top-tier football league of Costa Rica. The team was founded in 1921 and has been crowned champions an incredible number of times in its history. Its performances in the international tournaments such as CONCACAF League, Fraternidad Tournament and CONCACAF Champions' Cup are also worthy of praise. A major chunk of the credit goes to the team's roster which always blessed with skilled players such as Germán Chavarría, Braulio Morales, Eladio Rosabal.
