Dutch rapper Lange Frans was only 17 when he started rapping. Soon Lange Frans teamed up with good friend and neighbor Baas B with whom he won the talent show Most Wanted in 2001. The duo released its first singles in 2004, of which "Moppie" gained national exposure. "Zinloos," a song about senseless violence, reached the first position in the charts. With its 2005 single "Het Land Van," the duo scored another number one hit and became prominent members of the Dutch rap scene. It took the duo until 2008 to release its album Verder, off of which "Kamervragen," a single that again addressed social issues, made it to the top of the rankings. After its success, Baas B announced a break that left Lange Frans no choice but to continue his career solely. It was in this period that he started focusing on the hosting and participating in television shows. He released his album Levenslied, in 2012.
