Kiesza is the stage name of Kiesa Rae Ellestad a young Canadian singer and songwriter. She served some time in the Canadian Royal Navy and distributed over 4,500 examples of her own recorded songs under the Canadian soldiers stationed in Afghanistan. She studied keyboard, guitar and singing at the Berklee College of Music in Boston after she won a scholarship. In 2010 Kiesza was selected to play in front of 30,000 people on Trafalgar Square in London for the Canada Day. The band Donkeyboy featured Kiesza on their single "Triggerfinger" in 2013 and one years later she released her debut single "Hideaway" with the indie label Lokal Legend. The proper music video to the single was shoot in one take in Brooklyn, New York and gained a lot of positive publicity. Besides writing her own music, Kiesza wrote songs for artists like Rihanna, Icona Pop and Kylie Minogue.
