Founded in 1903, Santiago Morning is a Chilean football club from Recoleta, Santiago and competes in the Primera Division B of the Chilean football league. One of the inaugural teams of the Primera Division, the club was formed as a result of the unification of Santiago Football Club and Morning Star and thus derived its current name from that merger. Also known as “Chaguito Morning”and “Los Bohemios”, the club plays its home matches at the Estadio Municipal de La Pintana and has won major honours including the Primera División, Copa Chile, Segunda División de Chile and the Campeonato de Apertura. Esteban Paredes, the player with the highest amount of goals in the Chilean top-flight was a product of the club’s youth academy.
