Neal Brennan is a stand-up comedian who rose to national recognition as the co-founder and writer for Comedy Central's hit series, Chappelle's Show. After leaving his home in Pennsylvania to go to film school in New York City, he dropped out of NYU after a year and began working at Greenwich Village's Boston Comedy Club. Brennan soon befriended regular performer Dave Chappelle, and the two comedians went on to form a collaborative partnership that began with the screenplay for the 1998 film Half Baked, and lasted through Chappelle's Show premiered in 2003, to its demise in 2005. Though the show, Comedy Central's highest-rated program at the time, came to a screeching halt, it earned Brennan widespread recognition for his work as a director, writer and executive producer.
