Flamin' Groovies

Flamin' Groovies is a rock and roll band that stood out in the psychedelic scene of San Francisco in the late 1960s and early 1970s with a power pop style. While other outfits droned in meandering soundscapes, the band pushed out concise rock and roll with a major pop sensibility. Though the group didn't earn massive attention until it relocated to England and released its fourth LP, Shake Some Action, in 1976, the band is hailed as one of the most iconic bands of the San Francisco sound. Flamin' Groovies disbanded in the early 1990s but returned sporadically for tours until 2013, when the band reunited for a full-fledged comeback.
