SK Sturm Graz is one of Austria's most successful football clubs. Founded in 1909, the club's early years were relatively lowkey, but by the early 1920s it was making headlines in the regional championship. Originally a team for the workers, the club has been crowned Austrian Bundesliga Champions three times and have also clinched five Austrian Cups and three Austrian Supercups. Die Schwoazn are a major presence in Europe’s premier tournaments having featured in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup and have also won UEFA’s Intertoto Cup in 2008. Franz Aigner, Milan Dudić and Ivica Vastić are a few noteworthy players to have featured for this club.
