Girls in Hawaii is an indie rock band that was initially formed in 2000, when Antoine Wielemans and Lionel Vancauwenberghe began recording songs on an old 8-track. The duo expanded into a full band only months later, and by 2002, Girl in Hawaii signed with 62TV Records. Earning a fair amount of attention for its first few singles, the band garnered significant anticipation for its first LP, From Here to There, which was released in 2003. After another album, several international tours and a brief hiatus, Girls in Hawaii entered the studio once more in 2012 to record its third LP, Everest.
