Howe Gelb is a alternative country singer/songwriter and producer who's based in Tucson, Arizona. Thriving off collaborative musical environments, Gelb tends to favor a synergistic songwriting style, beginning in the mid-1980s with rock collective Giant Sand. Though Gelb has primarily gravitated towards a musical symbiosis with other like minded individuals, he has also managed to maintain a fairly busy solo career that started with his 1991 debut LP, Dreaded Brown Recluse.
