Free Salamander Exhibit is an experimental rock band that emerged out of Oakland, California in 2013 after the dissolution of Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. Utilizing homemade instruments in addition to the standard rock repertoire of guitars, bass and drums, the band creates a textured, rhythmic fusion of progressive metal and art rock that has resonated well with experimental audiences across the US.
