The Newcastle Jets is an Australian professional soccer club and
a member

of the Hyundai A-League. Founded in 2000, the team hosts its home
matches at the 33,000 person capacity Hunter Stadium. Newcastle won its first A-League championship at the conclusion of the 2007-2008 season.
