Affectionately known as the Sixers, The Adelaide 36ers is the South Australian representative in the National Basketball League. Formed in 1986, the team was originally called Adelaide City Eagles, before renaming itself to Adelaide 36ers in the following year. Throughout its history, the team’s consistently impressive performances resulted in a constantly growing fan base. This is why the team had to shift its base from its original home, Apollo Stadium, to Titanium Security Arena and finally to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. Those same impressive performances are also credited for making the team victorious at multiple NBL Championships.
