Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle is a vocalist from West Lothian, Scotland who rose to fame as a contestant on the television series Britain's Got Talent. One of the most revered acts and biggest surprises of the show's 2009 season, she stunned an international audience with her rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables. Though she ended the competition as the runner-up, her endearing stage presence and pure mezzo-soprano voice earned her a dedicated following, and her subsequent debut album I Dreamed a Dream, quickly became the UK's best-selling debut album of all time.
