The Sydney Swans is an Australian rules football club that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL). The club has been based in Sydney since the South Melbourne Football Club was relocated to Sydney in 1982. The club was founded in 1874 under the name of South Melbourne Football Club. Between the Swans and South Melbourne the organization has won a total of 10 premierships. The club colors are red and white and the mascot is a swan.
