Blending shoegaze and noise, Medicine emerged out of Los Angeles in 1990. Founded by guitarist and keybroadist Brad Laner, the band released three LPs, starting with 1992's Shot Forth Self Living, before disbanding in 1995. Medicine briefly reformed as a duo in 2003 and released a single record with the two person lineup of Laner and vocalist Shannon Lee. Returning to its true form, the original band reunited in 2013 and signed with Captured Tracks before dropping its fifth studio album, To the Happy Few.
