The Call is an American rock/new wave band from Santa Cruz formed in 1980 by singer/guitarist Michael Been, bassist Greg Freeman, drummer Scott Musick, and Guitarist Tom Ferrier. It was joined in 1984 by keyboardist Jim Goodwin and bassist Joe Read. The band stopped in 2000 after having released ten albums including The Call in 1982, Into The Wood in 1987, and Red Moon in 1990.
