In 1986, a Swedish trio of musicians started a death metal band, appropriately titled, Corpse, then decided to change it to the equally appropriate title Grave. Either way, the band wanted to make it evident that they were a death metal act. The obvious name seemed to go over well with fans, though, and as the group continues to tour worldwide, it is becoming more comfortable with incorporating other musical styles into its metal, including elements of industrial and speed metal.
