Imperial State Electric

Formed by the front man of The Hellacopters, Nicke Andersson, Imperial State Electric is a four-piece power pop band. Initially started as a solo project for Andersson once The Hellacopters broke up in 2008, the multi-instrumentalist wrote and played all the instruments for all 8 of the songs on the band's first release. However, Andersson insists that the band is not a solo project and is a full band, giving credit to all of his backing members. As Andersson was already a prominent name on the German rock scene, and because the band also included collaborations from other popular artists like Anders Lindstrom and Dregen, Imperial State Electric rose to fame fairly quickly.
