Lemonade

The electro world music outfit Lemonade was formed in San Francisco in 2005 without the intention of becoming a serious band or ever playing shows. However, only two weeks after its formation, the band was met with acclaim at its first show and decided to carry on forward. Drawing on their backgrounds in drone music, dancehall, Arabic and Latin music, the three young men honed Lemonade's sound into something both experimental and accessible and released its eponymous debut album in 2008. The band perfected its alternative dance music, a mix of electronic rock and Carribbean world music, for its follow up record Diver, in 2012.
