Even though there is a fair amount of drone and shoegaze elements in much of Autodrone's music, the band's avant-garde tendencies are kept in check by the group's strong affinity for pop choruses and jangly guitar riffs. Formed in 2002, the New York-based band has made a name for itself on the indie rock circuit. Even though the group's sound is difficult for many to enjoy, the group will undoubtedly have continued success in the niche it has spent years carving out for itself.
