Memphis, Tennessee-based band Ex-Cult is a garage rock outfit that creates a quick-fired fusion of punk and noise. After a spirited performance at Austin's South by Southwest festival in 2012, the band caught the attention of California's garage music master Ty Segall, who agreed to produce Ex-Cult's debut album. With the band's punk rock ethic and Segall's melodic West Coast vibes, the resulting sound is manic garage rock that's uplifted by a subtle pop sensibility.
