The London-based five-piece outfit Still Corners has mastered the hazy dream pop style that so many bands have attempted to create. Drawing its influences from ethereal film soundtracks of 1950s and vintage production techniques, then enveloping these influences in layers of gauzy female vocals, Still Corners creates music that is both haunting and endearing. As the band refuses to give out much autobiographical information, including the names of its members, the ghostly feel of the music is only intensified, as though its music really is an obscure record from the past being played on a Wurlitzer jukebox.
