Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra is a classical music ensemble based in Jacksonville, FL. Housed in the state's only true orchestra concert hall, the JSO hosts the majority of its performances at the Robert E. Jacoby Symphony Hall at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts. Several of these performances are recorded and later broadcast on WJCT Public Radio, which reserves an hour of airtime every Monday to play JSO favorites. On top of approximately 130 performances a year, the orchestra supports various outreach programs including the Jump Start Strings after-school program, symphony schools and the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra.
