The UV Race is a rock and roll outfit from Melbourne with a sound that fits somewhere between punk rock and post punk music. Formed in 2007, the band quickly embraced its affinity for analog and punk structures, though set itself apart from other garage punk outfits with its primitive execution and incorporation of saxophone. After releasing a handful of cassette releases, The UV Race released its first single "Lego Man," on vinyl before dropping its self-titled debut album in 2009. The following year the band toured the US for the first time and signed a deal with the American garage label In the Red Records, who distributed its sophomore effort Homo, in 2011. The UV Race released its fourth studio album Autonomy and Deliberation, in 2012.
