Christine Salem is a singer/songwriter from the French government Reunion Island. Blending together elements of blues and Creole music with elements of Swahili and Arabic folk, Salem has crafted a unique sonic amalgam for herself. Since releasing her debut album, Fanm, in 2005, Salem has kept busy by releasing additional LPs and keeping an active international schedule.
