Finbar Furey is an Irish folk musician who first rose to prominence in the late 1960s with his band The Fureys. An accomplished multi-instrumentalists, Furey has distinguished himself as one of the leading players of the uilleann pipes. Releasing his debut album, The Wind and the Rain, in 1997, Furey proved that he is more than a capable of releasing solo material that holds up in comparison against his previous work with The Fureys.
