The Killers is an alternative rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, that burst into the music scene in 2004 when it released its well received debut LP, Hot Fuss. Creating a listener friendly sound for itself that blends new wave synth stylings with American heartland rock bombasity, the group managed to distinguish itself from the myriad of other alt rock acts on the scene and become a crossover international sensation. Composed of lead vocalist Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer and drummer Ronnie Vannucci, Jr., The Killers have evolved with the times and haven't been left behind in the proverbial sonic tar pits like so many of the band's peers have. Opting to mature as a group and reinvent itself somewhat on each consecutive album cycle, The Killers have grown into one of its generation's more reliable rock acts.
