Based in Paris, Abdelkrim Brahmi-Benalla is a rapper who goes by the moniker Rim'K. Best known as a member of the hip-hop group 113 and the Mafia K-1 Fry musical collective, he captured an audience in the suburbs of Paris with his French language, gansta rap-inspired style after the release of his debut solo album L'enfant du pays, in 2004. Rim'K has become known for painting his material with themes surrounding his mixed Algerian-Barbacha descent, commenting on is dual heritage and Parisian upbringing on all of his albums including 2009's Chef de famille.
