Jackie Bristow is a country singer/songwriter and guitarist from New Zealand whose first foray into music was singing church hymns at her primary school as a child. Eventually falling in love with musicians like Elvish Presley, Linda Ronstadt and Joni Mitchell, Bristow would begin performing and gathering attention as a talented musician. Releasing her debut album, Thirsty, in 2002, the LP's intelligent collection of folk-inspired country tunes established her as one of the more capable New Zealand musicians of her generation.
