UK four-piece Girls on Top formed in 1996 on the breeding grounds for punk bands, Camden Town. Heavily influenced by 60s rock 'n' roll, the group goes as far as to record albums with solely vintage 1960s instruments, in the hopes to achieve a truly 60s sound. Like true punkers, the band has never received mainstream success, but instead become a mainstay for the underground glam-punk scene.
