Renegade, also known as Los Renegados, is a rock and roll band composed of iconic Mexican American artists Luis Cardenas, Tony De La Rosa and Kenny Marquez. Thought he group is from California, the band is considered one of the first Latin rock group to gain mainstream footing the the US. Over coming massive amounts of gross industry discrimination after forming in 1983, Renegade pushed its glam-infused rock music to the masses with records like its debut Rock 'N' Roll Crazy and Nuns on Wheels. Even as lead singer Luis Cardenas pursued a solo career, the band never broke up. Renegade returned to the studio in 2000 and continued building upon its legacy as a pioneer of mainstream Chicano rock.
