Glossy balladeers, Thriving Ivory, formed when songwriter/keyboardist Scott Jason and vocalist Clayton Stroope met during college in Santa Barbara. The band, now a quartet based in San Francisco, makes hook-filled, glossy pop that's largely a throwback to the M.O.R. alternative pop that dominated the FM radio waves in the mid 90s. The band is known for its soaring, piano-driven melodies and relentless touring schedule.
