Thrones

Thrones was formed in Seattle in 1994 as the side solo project of bassist Joe Preston, who has been involved with Sunn O))), The Melvins and Harvey Milk amongst others. Initially releasing untitled cassette tapes of his noisy punk tinged with doom metal, Preston slowly built a following and eventually singed to the Kill Rock Stars label. While Thrones has gone on hiatus multiple times, Preston has always returned to his solo work and continues to sporadically tour and release albums today.
