British jazz quartet Empirical landed on the scene in 2007, gaining fame remarkably fast, garnering a spot at the prestigious Newport Jazz Festival and winning the European Jazz Competition all within a year. Since then the band has continued to spread its unique post-bop sound that incorporates African, Cuban and classical elements, while picking up more awards along the way.
