Dead Congregation is a Greek death metal band that puts a specific emphasis on atmosphere and tone rather than technicality or speed. Founded in 2004, the group spent its formative years touring the Greek heavy metal circuit and managed to hone its sound and refine its songwriting approach in the process, before releasing its debut album, Graves of the Archangels, in 2008.
