Master is a death metal outfit that was formed out of the ashes of Warcry in 1983. Formed in Chicago, the band landed a record deal with Combat Records in 1985 but never saw any releases with the label. Master finally dropped its eponymous debut album in 1990 and payed it dues on the US metal circuit before earning international attention with the release of 2007's Slaves to Society.
